Rita Ann Moe, 76, Fargo passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services surrounded by her family after a recent battle with cancer. Rita was born April 4, 1939 in Devils Lake, North Dakota to Leslie and Bernice (Schumacher-Nein) Gilbertson. She moved to Fargo, growing up with mother and step-father, Floyd Nein. Rita graduated from Shanley High School in 1957. She married Marlin Moe on June 2, 1960 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Fargo. They raised four children before Rita moved to Finley, ND, where she had two additional daughters. Rita loved time with her 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She enjoyed eating out and trying various foods and was always up for spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children, Glen (Tammy) Moe, Monticello, MN, Christy (Randy) Mehus, West Fargo, ND, Denise (Reid Vaagen) Brossart, Dickinson, ND, Dean (Shelley White) Moe, Goffstown, NH, Karen (Tony Johnson) Schill, Grand Forks, ND, Lisa (Arlen Ellingson) Wendlick, Fargo, ND; 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, two brothers, Edward (Sherry) Gilbertson, San Francisco, CA, Richard Nein, Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Floyd Nein, brother, John Gilbertson, sister, Jill Gardner and son-in-law, Francis Brossart. Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo with visitation starting at 1:00 P.M. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo.

  2. To all of my cousins,so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother,and my Aunt Rita.I always enjoyed spending time with and talking with her.My thoughts are with you all,I’m sorry I can’t be there.

  3. I am very saddened to hear of Rita’s passing. She was a great person and lot’s of fun to visit with. Her and I had many cups of coffee together at the house in West Fargo. After just losing my son Todd last week I am sorry I will not be able to attend Rita’s service,but I will be thinking about each and every one of you, and keeping you in my prayers. God Bless Kathy,
