Robert "Bob" Neva

Robert “Bob” Neva, Fargo, ND passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Bethany on 42nd under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
He was born on October 8, 1934 to Jack and Anna (Wulff) Neva in Kensal, ND. Bob grew up in Kensal where he graduated from Kensal High School in 1952. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served in Korea until 1956 when he was honorably discharged and returned to North Dakota. Bob attended Valley City State Teachers College, graduating in 1960.
In 1958 he married Marilyn (Krubeck) Kapaun. She and Bob were both from Kensal. They had three children and lived in Lakota, Casselton and Lake Crystal, MN.
Bob worked as a teacher and principal at Lakota High School from 1960 to 1965. He then spent the next 46 years in farm equipment sales working for J.I. Case Co, Melroe Bobcat, Steiger Tractor, Wil-Rich, Great Plains Manufacturing, and REM Manufacturing. Bob always said he had the best job in the world that gave him the opportunity to travel around visiting friends.
On November 19, 1988 Bob was united in marriage to Paulette Bellmore in Las Vegas, NV. The couple made their home in Wahpeton and Fargo. Bob and Paulette loved spending time at their lake home on Lake Lida entertaining friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Paulette; children, Peter (Jackie) Neva, Celeste (Tony) Brausen, Keith (Pauline) Neva; sisters, Shirley (Darwin) Hoggarth, Elizabeth (Leon) Doyle; grandchildren, Laura (Ben Strasheim) Neva, Sam (Sara) Neva, Joe Neva, and Adrienne and Elise Brausen; great-grandson, Anders Neva.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack and Bill Neva; and sisters, Margaret Van Dyke and Nadine Johnson.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Boulger Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home’s website. Interment at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Fargo National Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to the Hospice of the Red River Valley or the Fargo Memorial Honor Guard Building Fund.

With the grace of our loving Lord, the period of grief is a time that helps to mend their troubled hearts, as they reminisce the many blessings of sharing their lives with Bob and allowing them to find the rekindled light of God’s abiding love for each of them. And may this perfect love that Christ has for them be the source of comfort and strength through this difficult time of sadness, surrounding them with renewed hope and grace.

Worked with Bob for many years at Wil-Rich. Great guy. Had good visits with him at Big Iron
Some of our best memories on our beach, are of Bob’s sense of humor. At one of our beach meetings, one of the residents was complaining about how someone was stealing the apples off her trees. Bob, as always, had a quick response, “Everyone is invited to Paulette’s and my home for homemade apple pie after the meeting”. My husband and I still laugh at how Bob’s sense of humor was so refreshing at what was, at times, very boring meetings! His smile was infectious and he always had a wave when driving by their home. Our prayers to Paulette and family during this time.
Bob was a great boss and friend. He hired me by sending plane tickets and telling me not to miss the flight. Had to take vacation days from my job to make the flight. That’s how Bob rolled. Every day was fun working for and with him.

I got know Bob when he worked for Bobcat. He was a good friend.
