I too remember Bob’s laugh, his smile and always making us feel at ease. As my mother’s “un-official” big brother, I’m sure some of his influences were passed on to me and my brother as we were raised. My family will miss seeing you on those occasions when we come to town.

    Dear Rud Family,
Treasure your memories of your father, husband, and grandfather.

I fondly remember his great chortle of a laugh….he could have played Santa! We Benzes recall with fondness times spent with Grandma Honey, the Ruds, the Cusicks, and the Gardners.

    Much love. Your cousin,
    Mary E. Benz

    Helen, Tom and family,
We would like to express our deepest sympathy in Bob’s passing.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time in your lives and we know that your faith in the Lord will guide you and sustain you in the months and years ahead.
Your family was always so kind to us and it was truly a privilege to be your next door neighbor for the twenty two years I lived in Fargo.
I have always been thankful for all of the things Bob did for us, especially after my dad passed away in 1967. We were honored to have Bob as a casket bearer at my dad’s funeral service. Bob did repairs around our house, fixed our vehicles and equipment, did the snow blowing on our corner lot as well as taught me basic auto maintenance and repair. I even remember Bob replacing a cable on my motorcycle when I was sixteen years old.
Your family’s kindness did not end there. I remember the numerous times Helen invited me over for supper when my mother was in AZ
or at the lake cabin in WI.
Bob and your family made a difference in our family’s life, and for that I can’t thank you enough.

    Sincerely,

    Jerry and Kathy Sollom

My “Uncle” Bob! He was my mother’s cousin, but she always considered him the brother she never had. He knew fishing, racing and Fords, and could talk for hours on each subject! Spent many a Christmas at the Rud house back when we were kids, and enjoyed visiting them at the lakes! Yahtzee! And cards. 🙂 The entire Cusick family sends out our thoughts to the entire Rud family!
