Rodney Swedberg

Rodney Lee Swedberg, age 58, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Innovis Health, Fargo, ND. Rodney was born on September 7, 1949 to Leroy and Joyce (Thomas) Swedberg in Detroit Lakes, MN. Rod grew up between Audubon and White Earth, MN. He joined the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1969. Rod married Kathryn Ann Borah on September 4, 1971 in Detroit Lakes, MN. They moved to Fargo, ND where they raised their children. He worked as a machinist for several years before he taught himself to fix VCR?s and c omputers. He owned and operated Rod?s VCR and Computer Repair until his passing. He had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing, cooking, working on his boat, spending as much time with his grandchildren as possible, and sharing his many dramatic, entertaining fishing stories. He is survived by his daughters: Sheila Hicks (Travis Matheny) and Shawn Sax (Anthony Wishinsky) both of Fargo; sisters: Karen McDougall, Springfield, OR, Deborah Swedberg and Susan Swedberg, both of Fargo; brother: Kenneth Swedberg, Ogema, MN; sister-in-law: Leslie Fain, Ogema, MN; grandchildren: Destiny, MacKenzie, Kaine and Drake. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother: Chad; and nephew: Jerrid. Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND with Visitation two hours prior. Burial: ND Veteran?s Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
