Obituary

Roger N. Larson, 80, Fargo, ND, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Essentia Health, Fargo.  He was born on March 3, 1933 to Orro and Josephine (Heglie) Larson.  He grew up in Walcott and graduated from Walcott High School.  Following graduation, he worked in Walcott and Gardner at the elevator.  He was united in marriage to Annette Y. Otterson on September 28, 1956.

Roger worked for Supervalu for 40 years in the warehouse and also owned his own store in Steele, ND.  He retired to Fargo due to medical reasons.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annette; his son, Gary W. (Kim) Larson, Minneapolis, MN; siblings, Omar (Joan) Larson, CA; and Helen Anderson, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Matthew (Maggie) Larson, Amanda (Eric) Van der Linden, Michael Larson; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Oliver Larson; and Mason, Logan, and Bennett Van der Linden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Eleanor Herndon, Percy Larson, Janice Hott, Pearl Blumer, and Marybelle Anderson.

    Naples FloridaI remember Roger as we worked together at the June Grass Yard in Walcott. I also remember him as a kind, friendly, and willing to do anything for you type of young man. I became more acquainted with him because of his wife, Annnie, who was one of my best friends in high school. Please accept our sympathy to you and your family at this sad time!! Love to you!!
