Worked with Ruth for many enjoyable years. She always was pleasant and
helpful to her fellow co-workers and customers. She always had a way to have the customer feel like they were treated fairly and with respect.

We were a big family at the Journal.

Ray & family: We feel bad that we won’t be able to attend Ruth’s funeral, but we are going to our granddaughter’s confirmation in Middle River. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

They have said it takes a village to raise a child. Ruth was part of our growing up in the Church in Hendrum. I have very fond memories of her, her beautiful singing voice and her beautiful smile.
My deepest sympathies to Ray and family.

Sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was always one to seek us out and offer a hug & a handshake at church, when we’d be visiting the folks.

Deerfield Beach FLORIDAMy heart is heavy for the Grothe Family. Ruth was gentle, sweet and a Beautiful person. I have a very fond memory I would like to share. When Ruth was here in Florida visiting Mary, Emilio and Amanda, my daughter was just a few months old she began to get fussy as most infants do, I was unable to calm her when Ruth said, I will take her, before I knew it my daughter was sound asleep on Ruth’s lap . My daughter slept peacefully for way over an hour, it was her skill, and peaceful energy that helped clam her to sleep. I will always remember, as Mary and I have spoken this story a few times. I know you are at peace, and the Heaven’s welcomed you with open arms. May your soul rest in God’s peace.
