Sophie A. Rezac

SOPHIE A. REZAC Sophie Adeline Rezac, 96, Fargo, died Friday, March 10, 2006 in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. Sophie Adeline Fosmark was born on December 19. 1909, in Coleharbor, North Dakota. Her parents were Norton and Selma (Berg) Fosmark. She went to school in Dwight, North Dakota. Sophie received her teaching certificate from Mayville Teachers College (now Mayville State University, Mayville, North Dakota). She taught in elementary schools near Petersburg, Balta, Tyler and Dwight, North Dakota. Sophie married Edward Rezac on August 24, 1935, in Sisseton, South Dakota. They owned a business in Colfax, North Dakota before moving to Fargo, North Dakota. In 1945 they moved to Walcott, North Dakota where they owned a grocery store. They semi-retired in 1965 and moved to Leonard, North Dakota where they started Rezac=s Caf?. They again retired and moved to Casselton and then to Fargo, North Dakota. Edward died October 5, 1993, in Fargo and Sophie moved to ManorCare in Fargo after suffering a stroke in 2002. She is survived by 2 sons: Roman(Sharon) Fargo, ND and Reginald(Peggy) Denton, Texas; one sister, Darlene(Louis) Puhalla, Moorhead, Mn; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: Tuesday from 5-7 pm, with a prayer service at 7pm at Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND.
