Stephen "Steve" Schulz

Steve passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 after a one year courageous battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA), an aggressive Parkinson’s disease.

Stephen Paul Schulz was born on January 27, 1948, the son of Paul F. and Laurinne (Clow) Schulz in Fargo. He grew up in Fargo, attending St. Mary’s Grade School and graduating from Fargo North High School in 1966. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era for four years. After his discharge, he returned to Fargo and began working for Northern Improvement. He later worked for Kost Brothers and then Aggregate Industries, from which he retired in April of 2012. He never missed a day of work in 37 years. Steve was united in marriage to Mary Ann Siebels on October 26, 2012, after a 17-year, 10-month, and 19-day courtship. Steve had a passion for antique cars, especially his ’69 GTO.

Steve is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Siebels) Schulz of Fargo; his mother, Laurinne M. Olson of Nixa, MO; his sister, Karen (Scott) Schulz-Fortney of Colorado Springs, CO; his step sisters, Virginia Evangelist of Madison, WI; Karen Olson of Fargo; and his beloved cat, Cuddles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul F. Schulz; his brother, John T. Schulz; his step-father, Robert Olson; and his step sister, Robin Wilder.
