Sterling O. (Jake) Jacobson Sterling Jacobson passed away Sunday August 12, 2007 at Innovis Hospital. Sterling was born May 12, 1916 in Rothsay, MN to Alfred and Stella (Ohnstad) Jacobson. Sterling attended school in Rothsay. Sterling entered the Army on March 21, 1941. He served in the European theater and was awarded the Bronze star. He was discharged in October 1945. Sterling worked as an automobile and truck salesman for Jacobson Motor from 1945 to 1950, Russ Buick until 1952, Valley Lincoln Mercury until 1953, and W.W. Wallwork until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and an active member of the Sons of Norway and St. Francis de Sales parish. He married Delia Burrell on July 13, 1947 in Fargo. They resided in North Fargo until 1951 when they moved to their home in North Moorhead where he lived until 2001. He currently resided in a town home in South Moorhead. He is survived by two sons; Alan (Angie) Jacobson of Rochert, MN, Tom (Deb) Jacobson of Fargo, two daughters; Mary (Curt Johnson) Olerud of Alexandria, MN, and Sheryl (Arnold) Solomon of Vergas, MN; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delia, and three sisters; Florence (Henry) Powell of Davenport, IA, Marjorie (August) Heckel, St. Paul, MN, and Marcella (John) Clapp of Minneapolis, MN. VISITATION: 4-7 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND ? and also one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Thursday PRAYER SERVICE: 5 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Boulger Funeral Home FUNERAL MASS: 10:30 am Thursday August 16, 2007 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
