Timothy Sornsin

Timothy S. Sornsin, 53, Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Fargo, ND, died Monday, August 25, 2003, at the John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix due to complications following surgery. Timothy Sornsin was born October 13, 1949, in Fargo, ND, the son of Tom and Phyllis Sornsin. He grew up in Fargo and attended Holy Spirit and Shanley High Schools. He was drafted into the Army, and served in Korea during the Vietnam War. He returned to Fargo and graduated from North Dakota State University with a business degree. He lived in Fargo and worked at Freight Terminal for seven years. He then moved to Phoenix. He is survived by two sons, Tim (Kim) Medenwalt, Minneapolis, MN, and Douglas Sornsin, Mexico City, Mexico; one step-daughter, Vanessa Mattson, Fargo; two grandchildren, Javin and Jordan; his mother, Phyllis Sornsin, Fargo; two brothers, Tom (Jodi), Tempe, AZ, and Bob (Terri), Glendale, AZ; five sisters, Jane (David) Lundeen, Fargo, Sally Doran, Moorhead, MN, Nancy (Robin) Oster, Fargo, Mary Beth (Doug) Stensgard, Fargo, and Julie (Dale) Cardwell, Fargo; and many nieces and nephews. His great sense of humor will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sornsin Sr.; his grandparents, Stewart and Vivian Roden; and brother-in-law, Douglas Doran. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Boulger Funeral Home Chapel, Fargo. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
