Obituary

Tina M. Smith, 42 of Fargo, died Friday, January 9, 2009 at her home.

Tina was born on April 7, 1966 in Warren, MN to Warren and Sharon Brenna. She graduated from high school in Thief River Falls, MN in 1984 and received her Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing from Minot State University in 2003. She married Carlton R. Smith on July 2, 1987 in Rolla, ND. They had 3 children together, Myckul, Krystofer and Anita. Tina spent most of her married life in Dunseith, ND and moved to Fargo in 2005. She worked for San Haven State Hospital in Dunseith, Presentation Medical Center in Rolla, ND, St. Andrews Medical Center in Bottineau, ND and Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, ND. In Fargo, Tina worked at MeritCare Neonatal Intensive Care and at Prairie St. John?s.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Dunseith. Tina was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed her husband and family. She was a very outgoing, social, fun-loving person who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, television programs such as Law & Order and medical shows and especially enjoyed spending time with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Sharon Brenna and by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Tina is survived by her husband, Carlton of Fargo; sons, Myckul Smith of Fargo, Krystofer Smith of Washington (US Navy); daughter, Anita Smith of Fargo; step-children, Jennifer Smith of Austin, TX, Robin Smith of Austin, TX, Penny Walker of Minneapolis, MN; sisters, Tamara (Tim) Freye of Bemidji, MN, Tiffany Brenna of North Dakota and brother, Todd (Kris) Brenna of Power, MT.

Visitation: Thursday, January 15 from 1-2 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.

Funeral Service: Thursday, January 15 at 2:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo with
Rev. Fred Anderson of Dunseith presiding.

Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
