Todd D. Sorenson

todd d. sorenson
Todd Sorenson, 52, Fargo, died Tuesday December 11, 2018 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Todd Sorenson was born June 10, 1966 in Moorhead to Ron and Judith (Welch) Sorenson. Todd grew up in Fargo graduating from Fargo North in 1984 and spent several years studying Electrical Engineering at NDSU. He eventually moved to St. Paul and worked most of his years for Sela Roofing. Growing up, Todd loved to go to the lake cabin, camping at Itasca and Lake Superior; and visiting his aunt, uncle, and grandparents’ farms. He loved to build forts and show how much tougher he was than his older brother. Todd was a hard worker who would drop everything to help a friend. He had a good soul and never complained about what life had in store from him. He left us too soon, but he will always be remembered by how he touched our lives. Todd is survived by his Father Ron Sorenson, Mother Judith Vavrina, Step Mother Rose Sorenson, Brother Shawn (Susan) Sorenson, Half siblings Kendra (Jarrod) Asleson, Nathan Anderson; Step siblings Faith (Tim) Nissen, Paul (Kami) Muchow, Ted Trautman; Uncles and Aunts Curtis and Audre Sorenson, Dale and Cindy Welch, JoAnn Welch, Nan Goehring; plus many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents Clarence and Lillian Sorenson, Donald and Lillian Welch, uncles Donald and Gary Welch, and his cousin Peter Welch. Per Todd’s request, no services will be held.

  1. Please except my condolences. May you find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about him and bring him back again. John 5:28, 29 gives this assurance.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Todd. We had one class together at North. He taught me how to say my name backwards and kept me laughing through each class period. The nicest guy!

  3. Todd was a GREAT friend growing up. We had lots of good times together. He will be missed by myself and a lot of our friends. Rest in peace my friend.
