Obituary

Victoria Lee Williams Sieben, 56, passed away on June 6th 2011 in her home on Loon Lake, Minnesota in the arms of her loving husband Don Smith.

Victoria was born June 2, 1955 to Benjamin (Jack) J. Williams Jr. and Virginia  (Ginger) (Zahrbock) Williams in Coral Gables, Florida.  At an early age Victoria moved to Wahpeton, North Dakota where she attended school.  She was a member of the National Honor Society at Wahpeton High School.   Music became an integral part of Victoria’s life from an early age.  She was actively involved in choir and jazz band and to her a piano was “not just furniture, it was her instrument” and her passion.

Victoria married Eugene Thomas Sieben of St. Cloud Minnesota on June 25th 1978.  They made their home in Moorhead, MN and owned and operated MH Associates and Advanced Amusements in Fargo, ND.  Eugene passed away suddenly in 1995.  In 2009 Victoria moved to Loon Lake where she married the love of her life Don Smith, Walker MN, on June 30th 2010.

Victoria was an active member of The First Church of Christ Scientist in Fargo, ND serving as board chair and organist for many years.  She was also involved in several community organizations including the Fargo Chamber of Commerce, FM Organists’ Guild, The Mayflower Society and Viva Marimba.

In her free time Victoria enjoyed attending concerts by the Fargo – Moorhead Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Arts Big Band and the Fargo Moorhead Opera.  She also enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and cooking and baking for her family.

Victoria is survived by her husband Don Smith of Loon Lake; daughters, Leah (Dagan) McGregor, West Fargo, ND, Michal (Chuck) Lang and Ariel Sieben of Fargo, ND; son, Aaron Sieben, Fargo, ND; parents, Jack and Ginger Williams, Clitherall, MN/Silverthorne, CO; sister, Valerie Williams  (Chuck Lenzmeier),  Seattle, WA; brother, Benjamin J. I worked for Vicky many many years ago at a small Pizza Restaurant (The Pizza Express) that she and Gene owned in Breckenridge, Minnesota
. While it saddens me to hear of her passing seeing her obituary did bring back some very special memories. We were all so very young and the kids were also all so very young. Times were tough back then but yet, somehow, they now seem so much less complicated.
Thank You, Vicky, for rekindling some not yet forgotten memories.
Blessed be the memory of Viky Williams Sieben. Rest Well.

Vicky was a talented and intellegent lady whom I had the honor to work for in 2002-03. She possesed a keen insight into the business world. I hope her family can come to terms with her loss as the community mourns the loss of her keyboard skills.

My deepest sympathy to Jack & Ginger, & all of Vicky’s friends and family.
I feel honored to have known Vicky and work with her in the short time that we had. She had amazing strength and a boldness about her that I envied.
I learned valuable lessons about life from her experiences that she shared with me during our visits. The one that really sticks out is that life truly is short and to make the most of each and every day and to laugh and smile even through the toughest times. I feel blessed to have known Vicky.
My prayers are with you all.
