Viola H. Johnson

Viola H. Johnson Viola passed away on Friday, September 7, 2007 at ManorCare Health Services in Fargo at the age of 92. Viola Cordie was born on August 21, 1915, the daughter of John and Frieda (Putz) Cordie in Collis, MN. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1932. Viola was united in marriage to John S. Johnson in 1934 in Fargo. She worked for Sweetheart Bakery and Walco Products both in Fargo, and for the City?s Auditors Office in Fargo for over 31 years. John passed away on November 15, 1973. Viola was very active at St. Mark?s Lutheran Church for many years and also with the quilting group. She was a care giver and loved spending time with her family. Viola is survived by her children, John B. Johnson, and Sonja R. Johnson; her grandchildren, Dennis (Joan) Krein, Vivian (Mark) Kasson, and Jason Krein; her great grandchildren, Brandi Krein and David Bain; and several nieces and nephews. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John S.; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna G. (Rueben) Krein; her daughter-in-law, Ruth J. Johnson; her granddaughter, Victoria Krein; her brother, Martin Cordie; and her sister, Ann Cornelius.
