Virginia Mae Clemenson, Fargo, passed away April 23, 2007. Virginia was born in Moorhead, MN to Hjalmer and Gina (Korum) Anderson. She grew up on a farm in the Averill, MN area and received her education in the Averill school system. She moved with her family to Moorhead, MN in 1946. Virginia worked at Service Laundry and Fairmount Foods both in Moorhead. Virginia and Wilfred Clemenson were united in marriage on March 8, 1951 in Fort Sumner, NM while Wilfred was in the U. S. Air Force stationed at Walker Air Force Base, Roswell, NM. In 1953 they returned to the area and made their home in Horace, ND. Virginia was a stay at home mom while the children were in school and was a devoted wife and mother. She found time to write a Horace news column for the West Fargo Pioneer for a number of years and also did volunteer work with the Horace School Band Mothers. In June 1977, Virginia and Wilfred moved to Fargo and Virginia began working at Moorhead Hornbachers as a demonstrator in frozen foods. She also volunteered at the Fargo Veterans Hospital for 35 years. She would comment, ?It was the least she could do for all the Veterans had done for us.? Virginia was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus and the Fargo American Legion Auxiliary. Virginia is survived by her husband, Wilfred; one son, Curtis (Beatrice) of Costa Rica; four daughters, Bonnie (Richard) Wills, Bellaire, TX, Vicki (Mark) Onstad, Santa Fe, NM, Diane (Jon) Harlan, and Tammy (Gary) Culver both of Longmont, CO; six grandchildren; and four step grandchildren. Virginia is also survived by one sister, Frances Finger, Moorhead, MN; two brothers, Clayton Anderson, Moorhead, MN and Richard Anderson, Matteson, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Anderson. The Funeral Service for Virginia will be Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:00am at Hope Lutheran, North Campus, Fargo, ND. Visitation will be Friday, April 27th from 4-7pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial will be at Horace Lutheran Cemetery, Brinks Addition, Horace, ND.
