Virginia Marie Kelsh, 81, passed away July 11, 2019 in Fargo. She lived at Touchmark at Harwood Groves.
Virginia (Ginny) Kelsh was born on May 19 ,1938 at Linton, ND to Jacob and Eleanor (Ell) Bosch. She attended school at Linton before moving with her family to Berlin, ND. She graduated from Berlin High School and received a Standard Normal teaching degree from SNIC at Ellendale, ND. She taught school for 7 years in Dickey and LaMoure County.
Virginia married Leo Kelsh on May 30, 1959 at Berlin, ND. They farmed at Fullerton, ND until 1994 before moving to Fargo. She worked at Nodak Supply until retiring in 2003.
Virginia was a long-time member of Dickey County Homemakers where she held several offices. She also was on the board of Directors at Birth Right, Catholic Charities, and Cross Roads Senior Citizens. Virginia was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church of Fullerton and Nativity Church of Fargo.
She is survived by her two sons, Todd (Giselle) of Florida and Kelly (Jamie) of Abilene, TX; 2 daughters, Lisa (Michelle) of St. Paul, MN and Teri (Larry Kemp) of Minneapolis, MN; 2 sisters Tillie (Dennis) Jensen, LaMoure, ND and Sally (Keith) Krogen, Moorhead, MN; 1 brother, Harry (Linda) Fargo; 1 grandson, Chris; sister-in-law, Donna of Omaha, Nebraska; 2 step grandchildren Sammy and Noah, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Leo; parents, Jacob and Eleanor; and brother, Eugene.
Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM Monday, July 15, 2019 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Visitation will continue from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by a mass of christian burial at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Nativity Catholic Church, Fargo. Burial will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Maple View Cemetery, Fullerton.

My fullest sympathies to the family. I so enjoyed Ginny as a member of the Nativity parish, she always was ready to give me an encouraging word about being progressive. She had a full plate supporting Leo through his dying process an she did it with such grace. Through it all she always stayed connected to the importance of church and civic life.
Sending hugs and prayers to Ginny’s family, we were classmates at Berlin ND high school so I have fond memories of Eugene, Ginny, and Tillie, Sally and Harry were younger and in grade school. I recognized some of our classmates in the picture, it brought back such wonderful memories. I really enjoyed the video, I remember Ginny always being happy and fun loving, and she was having fun and laughing in all the pictures, such a fun person. I know she will be missed, Rest in Peace Ginny, you were always so fun to be around!

My sister Lil, was a friend of Virginia when they were in Berlin High School. Lil passed in 1992 and it makes me feel good to know how happy she must have been to be at the pearly gates to greet Virginia. I bet they are reminiscing and enjoying many laughs. My deepest sympathy to Sally and the rest of the family.
