Vivian Bentley, 90, Bethany Homes, Fargo, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, in the nursing home.
Vivian Cecelia Rose Sweeney was born December 22, 1912, on a farm near Milnor, ND. She graduated from Milnor High School in 1931, and moved to Fargo after graduation. She married Henry Bentley on February 25, 1933, in Fargo. He preceded her in death in 1985. She worked at Wood?s Liquors and Luke?s Grocery, both in Fargo. In 1998, she moved to Bethany Homes.
She is survived by one son, James (Viviene) Bentley, Swannanoa, NC; three daughters, Darlene Folstrom, Candler, NC, Jeanne (Mrs. Ron) Peterson, Bemidji, MN, and Diane (Mrs. Rick) Samuelson, West Fargo, ND; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Grandbois, Delong, IN, and Erma (Mrs. Ray) Lankford, Mars Hill, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; six brothers, Irv, Mertin, Al, Ray, Eddie, and Lloyd; and one sister, Lillian Schmidt.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Mavis Whiting Chapel at Bethany Homes. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, and in the chapel at Bethany Homes one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo.
