Walton Fitzpatrick

Walton died on Monday, February 9, 2004, at his home in Hillsboro, under the care of Hospice, at the age of 79. Walton was born on July 16, 1924, in Bayonne, New Jersey, the son of James and Florence (Busbee) Fitzpatrick. He grew up in this area before moving to Chicago, Illinois, with his family, where he attended school. Walton was united in marriage to Dorothy Okleshen, of Chicago, on August 6, 1942. Walton proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII first in the South Pacific from 1943 until 1945, then serving in the United States Army from 1945 until 1946 in Germany. After his discharge, he made his home in Chicago where he owned and operated Huddy?s Bait Shop. He moved to Montana in 1986 and lived there until moving to Hillsboro in 1996. He is survived by his loving family - his children, Dianne Louise, Eileen Marie, Jacquelyn Rae, Walton B. Jr., Daniel Charles, John V. Parlich, and Charles Michael; his 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and sister, Betty Jane Schmidt. Walton was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Byron Kinney; his sisters, Geneva Rutzen and Nadine Kalata; and grandchildren, Randy Parlich, Teresa Hooker, and Scott Sorenson.
