Warren ?Bud? McInnes, 91 years old, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at Hillsboro Nursing Home. The grandson of Traill County pioneers, he was born on Jan. 9, 1914 at the home of his parents, Herbert and Margaret (Calley) McInnes.? He attended elementary school in Kelso and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1932.
After high school, he worked with his father farming as well as buying, breaking and selling horses.? He married Margie Larson on Oct. 23, 1937, in Moorhead, MN.? A lifelong farmer, he and Margie lived on their family farm in Kelso Township for 56 years. Upon Warren?s retirement in 1995, two of his sons have continued the farming operation.? They moved to Hillsboro in 2001.
Bud has always been active in community affairs.? He served on the Kelso Township board for 28 years, the Traill County Township Officers Association for two years, and was honored as a Traill County Pioneer 4-H Leader in 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; four sons and a daughter:? Allen David (Carolyn), Phoenix, AZ; Janette (Gale) Inglett, Roseville, CA; Donald (Betty), Hillsboro; Jerry, Cameron Park, CA;? and Jeffrey (Chris), Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren; and 2 step grandchildren.? He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Earl.
