Wayne K. Bruhschwein, 77, Moorhead, passed away Monday, August 22 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Fargo.

Wayne was born March 13, 1934 to Oswald and Susan (Flath) Bruhschwein in Litchfield, ND. Wayne grew up and attended school in the Litchfield area. Wayne went to work for several farmers in the area before enlisting in United States Army. Wayne served in the infantry during the Korean Conflict. Wayne was honorably discharged from the Army. He then went to work for Meyers Construction in Dickinson, ND for several years before he and his brother Lloyd started their own painting business. After the end of the business, Wayne worked for Tony Eckert and Sons Painting in West Fargo and then for OPP Construction and finally Camas Construction.

Wayne liked to work with wood, especially refinishing antiques. Wayne liked to garden, and always took pride in the appearance of his yard. He also enjoyed restoring and working on old pickups.

Wayne was always there when you needed him. He was one great dad to his son Keven. He never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Wayne is survived by his son Keven (girlfriend Kay, West Fargo), Moorhead MN, sister, Nona Olson, Carrington, ND; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Karl, and brothers, Lloyd, Norman, and Vernon.

There will be a funeral service on Friday, August 26 at 1:00 P.M. in Marion Lutheran Church, Marion ND with visitation starting at 12:00 P.M. Lunch will follow the burial at Marion Community Center. Burial will be at St. Johns Cemetery, Mandan ND.
