I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. May the peace which comes from the memories comfort you now and in the days ahead.

  5. Bill Conway was one of these guys that you liked at the first meeting. He did a great job as the Fargo School District compter expert and was an effective leader for the City of North River as its mayor.

I always enjoyed meeting Bill, as he had a positive outlook and was easy to be with. He was a very dedicated staff member of the School District.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to his family.

  7. Fargo ND
Donna, John, Sean, Mikey & Bumper (sorry Jeff – you’ll always be Bumper to me) – so very sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. After working for Bill for 38 years, I feel like I knew him quite well. There was never a dull moment working for your dad. I don’t remember a day, when he didn’t make me laugh. He was so witty, and the ‘king’ of one liners. Whenever he made bread, he would always bring in a loaf for each of us. He always gave the best Christmas presents (Thanks Donna!)
He was always so proud of his family!!! I remember when you boys were very young, and he would bring you into the office, and you would sit on our laps and hit the keys of the keypunch machine. He always looked forward to the hunting trips with the boys, and later in life – really enjoyed the grandkids!
It was hard to watch him pack up his office and leave Fargo Public Schools for retirement. I know his spirit and memory will live on forever! My sympathy to all of you and your families.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. As you all may know, I worked under Bill starting the summer of 1996. He was a boss, a friend, and a father figure to me. He was always there to back us up when times got tough.

My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you wherever you go.

I am so sad to hear about this… I just found by accident. Bill was one of the nicest men I have ever known in my life. He was the first to call me when my son in law was killed in action. He was always so kind to my children.
I was honestly going to call him last weekend to tell him that I had moved to Arizona to be closer to my girls.
My thoughts are with Donna and the boys.. I have me the boys and Donna I am sure that you remember me. My love to you and your family. His retirement was too short. I hope you can find comfort in your family now.
    love to all
