Willis "Ace" Drummond

Willis ?Ace? Drummond, age 81, of Fargo, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at Innovis Hospital, Fargo. Willis was born on August 7, 1922, the son of Dover and Ethel Drummond, in Keokuk, Iowa. He grew up in this area and received his education. He graduated from Keokuk High School and entered the United States Navy. He proudly served his country in the Pacific Theater during WWII. After his discharge he returned to Iowa and began working for Benner Tea Company. He later was employed by Super Valu Foods in Bismarck, North Dakota; served as National Sales Manager for Cloverdale Foods in Mandan, North Dakota; and worked for Gordon Fleming Company in Fargo. Willis then opened Premier Food Sales in Fargo, which he owned and operated for many years; and later owned Denny?s Pizza in West Fargo. During his retirement years he worked part time at Virgo?s Pizza in West Acres Shopping Mall. Willis was united in marriage to Adeline Reierson on May 10, 1980, in Fargo. They have made their home here since that time. Willis attended Bethel Evangelical Free Church of Fargo; and was a past member of the Elks and VFW; as well as a member of the Fargo American Legion. Willis is survived by his loving wife, Adeline of Fargo; his son, Jim (Deanne) Drummond of Fargo; his granddaughter, Chloe Drummond; his stepchildren, Rick (Kathy) Reierson of Meridian, Idaho; Kevin Reierson of Fargo; Cheryl (Dennis) Winter of New Freedom, Pennsylvania; and Carla (Tim) Most of Hanover, Pennsylvania; and his step grandchildren, Kristie and Karl Reierson; Amber Winter; and Lee and Ryan Most. Also surviving are his sisters, Wilma Russell of Quincy, Illinois; and Nova (Walter) Dunn of Waukee, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Julian Richard Drummond.
