Obituary

Yvonne Harrison, beloved Mother and Grandmother, went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2014.  Born in Fargo to Alice and Peter Polum, Yvonne spent her entire life in Fargo where she met her husband, Maurice, and raised her family.  She worked at Melting’s Market prior to her retirement;   she was active with the Teamster’s Ladies Auxiliary for many years.   She loved to Polka and would go to Polka fests whenever possible.  Her main hobby was Rosemaling.  She painted hundreds of items and shared the painting and woodworking with her husband.   Her brother, Gene, used to joke that she would Rosemal the outhouse if given a chance.  Her favorite way to spend the summer was spending time at the lake with her family and playing with her grandsons.  Showing them how to fish and play poker.    After Maurice passed away, one of Yvonne’s constant and favorite companions was her beloved her dog, Candy, who was great company to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; sister Betty Harrison and brothers Jack and Gene Polum.  She is survived by her sons Tim (Windy) Prior Lake, MN and Terry (Marlys) Bismarck, ND; two grandsons, Mitch and Corey Harrison, her sister Shirley (Frank) Kowalski and many nieces and nephews.

Tim,Windy,Terry,Marlys and family I am happy that Auntie Yvonne is now with the love of her life. She can be at peace. I’m thinking of all of you and you are in my prayers. One of the things I think of when I think of Yvonne is that as kids we all knew we were growing up when we surpassed her hight. She was a small bundle of fire. God bless you Auntie Yvonne. Love Lori
