We have been very dear friends to Steve Asher for many years. He has shared many memories he and Ben had. Even though we never met Ben, we feel glad to have known him through Steve’s tails. Our deepest sympathies are with Bonnie, Jerry and family.
Lakewood COMarci and I send our love, we wish we could be there with you. Just know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am the oldest student in Ben’s Japanese class, back in school after 39 years. Ben was without question the smartest and most motivated student in the class, and could be looked to as an authority. When I asked him how he could rattle off Japanese the way he did, he said, “Many hours of practice”. I was shocked to hear of his death. We will be poorer by his passing. I extend my sympathy to Ben’s family and friends.

Blessings on your life and journey Ben. I’ll remember always your persuasive speech and how it was elaborately crafted with such beautiful structure and language. You spoke with conviction and passion about your animal adoption cause. I will certainly send a memorial in your name. Your family and friends love and miss you. Always in the front row of my class and not missing a beat. I’ve included a song for your family.

Brighton COJerry & Bonnie Asher Family May your heart know that others share so deeply in your sorrow that are arms must certainly reach you from our home in Colorado to your home in South Fargo. (In our old neighborhood, to our old friends). I trust that the Lord will comfort you all during this time of loss and grieving, this unmistakably painful part of our living, but know Asher family, from our experience in losing our own son, know, that he is still with you in spirit and will always hold your hearts and soul close to his. Watch and listen as he will be present for you Bonnie and for you Jerry. And for his brothers too. May God Bless you, hold and comfort you all just like we here in Colorado would do for you if we were there close to you now. Sent with much love and sadness,

I’m so sorry for your loss. I last saw Ben when he was 3 years old. I often played with his brother Steven in the late 80’s. I lived at the end of the block in a red house at the time.

I did not know Ben, but knew him as Kainy on the Penny Arcade forums. He was a generous soul and friendly. I have often thought about him. I’m sorry for your loss.
