Sheila Pfaff

Sheila M. Pfaff, 91, of Fargo, ND passed away peacefully January 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family assisted by Hospice of the Red River Valley. 

Sheila Mavis Attewell was born January 29, 1924 in South Shields, England where she grew up and attended school.  Sheila served in the British Royal Air Force during World War II where she met August (Gene) Pfaff, a soldier in the US Army Air Corps.  They married on November 16, 1945.  She came to the USA in 1946, joining her husband in North Dakota where they settled and raised their five children.  

Sheila was a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother.  She was a long time member of St Anthony of Padua Parish in Fargo where she enjoyed singing in the choir and other church activities.  She volunteered at various organizations, was a member of the FM area British Club and the Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed  extensive traveling, movies, reading, card playing, growing flowers, and her crossword puzzles. 

 Sheila is survived by her husband of 69 years, 5 children, Laura (Ron) Christopher, Las Vegas, NV;  Gary (Nancy) Pfaff, Kingman,  AZ; Sheila (Don) Nygren ,  Horace, ND;  Margie (Ken) Christopher; Horace, ND and Richard Pfaff, Las Vegas, NV;  16 grandchildren; Amy, Wade, Lee, Jason, Corey, Joel, Ryan, Travis, Katy, Tom, Kally, Chad, Becky, Ricky, Alex, Timmy and their spouses; 15 great grandchildren;  brother-in-law Leo Schall,  Enderlin, ND;  sisters Margaret Graham, North Shields, England and Laura (Osborne) Findlay, Prestwich, Scotland; nieces and nephews Maureen, Dennis, Paul, Robert, Philip and Janice, of the UK. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Alice Attewell, brothers Thomas Attewell and Walter Attewell and nephew Tommy Attewell.
