Patricia Conway
February 27, 1942 ~ April 2, 2019
Patricia (Pat) M. Conway died on April 1, 2019 at the Elim Care Center. Pat also received care from the Hospice of the Red River Valley in Fargo, ND.
Pat was the fourth child of Happy (Gladys) and John C. Conway. Pat was born on February 27, 1942 at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo. She attended elementary school at St. Mary’s Cathedral and graduated from Shanley High School in 1960.
Immediately following graduation, Pat began her career at AT&T. She started work as an operator and worked toward management positions that implemented the divestiture of AT&T for several years. Pat worked for AT&T for 35 years. She took great pride in her work and shared many fond memories of co-workers and assignments.
Pat loved to travel. She toured Ireland, Greece, Germany, Hawaii, Mexico and many states throughout the U.S.
Pat worked and was active in many political campaigns: McGovern, Kennedy, Humphrey, and Clinton. She would often stay up until the wee-hours of the morning discussing political activities with her father. He was the person she gained her love of politics.
Pat lived most of her life in Fargo, ND but also lived for a short time in Redding, California and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Poirier; and her two brothers, Rev. Jack Conway and William Conway. She also lost two great nieces, Kelly Ann and Jamie Poirier.
Pat is survived by her sister, Helen Jaurequi of Silver City, New Mexico; Anne Conway of Fargo, North Dakota; 20 nieces and nephews and 40 great nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff of Elim Care Center and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Their skill and caring brought great comfort to Pat.

FUNERAL MASS: 1 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at CHI Riverview Place Chapel in Fargo
BURIAL: Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo

Pat was a great neighbor. We will miss her humor and intelligence. She could talk about anything! Our condolences to her entire family.
Pat was a valued member of the class of1960 at Shanley High School. She was instrumental in keeping our class very close over the years with her emails regarding reunions, news of our classmates, etc. She will be greatly missed.
Pat (or better known by me as FeFa) was my childhood playmate, classmate,lunch and dinner companion and mahjong partner. Wow will she be missed. I just want to let you know she truly loved her baby sister and older sister and all her siblings. She was constantly telling me about their fetes and troubles as she took them on herself. She was especially greatful for all the nieces and nephews. You would be proud to hear her talk about you My prayers and condolences to you all

Pat was one of a close group of girls who started first grade together at St. Mary’s School, graduated from Shanley High and have remained friends to this day. She had an infectious laugh, a friendly smile and told a great story. Pat will be missed by all.
Pat held a special place in my heart. Her marvelous sense of humor will be missed,
as will her notices and notes to all of us in her class at Shanley. My very best wishes
to all of her family and everyone she loved. I know I will miss her very much.
Pat was a wonderful friend. I worked with her at the telephone company in Fargo and Minneapolis. May God’s Peace be with her family.
So sorry to read of Pat’s passing. I knew Pat as Anne’s beloved older sister who was always ready with some humorous words of wisdom whenever I’d be at their house.May she rest in peace.

Saddened to read of Pat’s passing. I had the pleasure of knowing her in her 20’s and 30’s. She was a true Conway, in that she had a way to tell a story which was funny and yet every day life (a family trait). To Anne and the Poirier clan as well as the rest of the family, you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of transition. The world has lost a great smile and Heaven has gained another Conway; I can only imagine the joke fest happening now.
Pat was such a warm, fun person interested in everyone else. Her class updates were a wonderful way to keep in touch with classmates. Pat lived life to the fullest and such an inspiration to all of us. May she rest in peace.

Pat, my wonderful and FUN, FUN friend. How I will miss her humor, intelligence, and phone calls. There could never have been a more enjoyable friend to have moved to Redding, California with. How lucky I have been to have experienced the ‘crazy’ Conway clan – delightful and enduring people.
