Evelyn Dietz

Evelyn E. Dietz, 97, Fargo, ND formerly of Belfield, ND and Dickinson passed away on the 10th of September, 2019 at Bethany on 42nd, Fargo, ND under the care of Ethos Hospice.
Evelyn was born to Charles and Erna Kaelberer in New Salem, ND on September 3, 1922. Evelyn grew up in New Salem where she graduated from High School. She attended Dickinson State Teacher’s College and received numerous degrees, certificates and awards in education over the years. She was known and loved as the second grade teacher in Belfield, ND where she taught for 35 years.
Evelyn married George Dietz on April 27, 1946 in New Salem, ND. They made their home in Belfield until moving to Dickinson and to Fargo in 2017. George preceded Evelyn in death on January 7, 2010.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Larry(Candice) Dietz, Fargo, ND; son-in-law, Gary Rath, Bismarck, ND, grandchildren, David (Misty), Fargo, ND, Melissa (Loren) Tschosik, Fargo, ND, Mark, Bismarck, ND, Kari Rath, Bismarck; sisters, Estrella Treude, Dickinson, ND, Lorelei (Velmer) Goebel, Enid, Oklahoma and many great grandchildren.
Evelyn’s greatest joy were her grandchildren and the many years at their lake home on Lake Sakakawea with the many hours of fishing. She and George did extensive traveling visiting all 50 states many times and also wintering in Arizona and Texas.
She is preceded in death by her son, Dennis and daughter, Cynthia Rath, brothers, Elmer Kaelberer, Fred Kaelberer.
A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo, ND.
A Committal will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2019.

Larry and Family, I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Evelyn. Please accept my sincere condolences. She lived a long happy life. So glad that Uncle George and her were able to travel like they did.
God Bless you all and we thank him for having her in our lives.
My Thoughts and Prayers to the family!! Missed seeing Evelyn after she moved from Bismarck to Fargo. She was in my thoughts often and was always a pleasure to visit with and good to see her when I was able to get to Fargo.
Our thoughts are with you, Larry, as you celebrate your mom’s life. She must have been a remarkable woman of her day and made a big difference in many young people’s lives.
Remember the good times.
Rest in peace Mrs. Dietz. You were my second grade teacher and one of my favorites.

My deepest sympathies. Mrs. Dietz was my favorite teacher. I loved the second grade. She was a very classy lady.
Larry, I am so sorry for you loss. Evelyn (Mrs. Dietz) was my 2nd grade teacher in Belfield, ND in 1973. Evelyn always held a special place in my heart. She was always so kind and loving. I kept in contact with Evelyn for many years after that. I wish you healing and peace Larry.

Too Evelyn family, our prayers thought are with you all. What a wonderful lady she was my husband still remembers her in Belfield as his teacher. They always visited when they met in the complex at Western Edge in Dickinson. She played cards with mom and dad and my Uncle Ed. Keep all your members in your heart always.
