Shirley Ann (Erbstoesser) Klocke, 71, passed away May 29, 2021 surrounded by her family at Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo.
Shirley was born March 30, 1950 to Herbert and Bertha (Schabary) Erbstoesser in Fargo, ND at St. John’s Hospital. She attended grade school at St. Anthony of Padua and graduated from Shanley High in 1968. Shirley continued her education at Dakota Business School before starting her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She worked for there for 26 years as a data entry specialist. Shirley married Mike Klocke in 1975 and later welcomed their only child, Tim, into the world. Her catholic faith was very important to her and she had her daily routine of prayers. Shirley was so happy to receive the eucharist during COVID when she couldn’t attend the daily mass. Some of her favorite things to do were fishing, especially catching sunnies and crappies, playing cards especially Phase 10, going to the End of the Road Resort in the summer, crafts, and attending sporting events where Cannon played. She became a dedicated hockey grandma. Most of all, Shirley loved spending time with all of her family and friends for every different occasion. You were all so very important to her and she will be deeply missed.
Shirley is survived by her son, Tim, grandson, Cannon; siblings, Barbara (Jim) Braaten, Patricia Kerzman, Mary Bodensteiner (Jim), Mark (Barb) Erbstoesser; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Bertha Erbstoesser; and brother-in-law, Tom Kerzman.
Visitation will take place from 12:00-1:00 PM followed by a funeral Mass at 1:00 PM Monday, June 7, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo. Burial will be at Holy Cross North Cemetery. Online guestbook and the service will be live streamed at:

Reading about my classmate Shirley from St. Anthony’s and Shanley, brought back lots of memories. Our sympathy to her family from Jackie (Wright) Rosson/ now living inTexas. We had a special education and an appreciation and reverence instilled in us from the Srs. of the Presentation. What a blessing it has been through these years. It was wonderful to read that Shirley “kept the faith”. May Our Lord Bless & keep you and give you peace.
