Jesse Kramer

Jesse Paul Kramer, 57, was suddenly called home on October 27, 2022.

Jesse was born in Bismarck, ND to Ray and Arlene (Wagner) Kramer on April 1, 1965. He graduated from Strasburg Public High School in 1983. Jesse worked for his dad on the family farm until he went with a harvest crew across the Midwest and ended up in Garden City, KS. Prior to his death Jesse worked for Brett and Tyler Odegaard in Kindred, ND.

While working for his dad on the family farm, Jesse started his own DJ business called Kramer Stereo Sound as a side hobby. Jesse used his DJ business to catch the love of his life, Rhonda Mastel. On June 29, 1991, Jesse married Rhonda at St. Peter & Paul Catholic church in Strasburg, ND. They lived in Garden City, KS until 2006 when they moved to Kindred, North Dakota. Jesse and Rhonda have three beautiful children; Tiara, Ryan, and Autumn. They were his pride and joy.

Jesse was a man of many talents. He could build or weld anything and made many memorable statues for Christmas gifts. Jesse would always sign his name on whatever he fixed because his motto was that if you cannot turn around and say you did that and are proud of your work, then you should do it again. He took pride in everything he did.

Jesse was a hard worker, had a kind heart, and a funny sense of humor (or so he thought). Jesse’s passion was farming. He was never afraid to step in and do a dirty job but had to make sure he always had his knee pads, gloves, and Carmex to protect himself. He knew a lot about all types of equipment, and many people sought out his advice on fixing or repairing different things. Jesse made sure that every question led to a teaching moment and was happy to share his knowledge, especially with his children. Despite Jesse’s many talents, contributions, and ability to provide advice on numerous topics, he remained a humble man driven by his strong faith in God.

Jesse’s favorite color was blue. When asked what color of an item he wanted, he would always say blue. Anytime you would see Jesse, rest assured he was likely wearing something blue. He said blue is cool like him.
Jesse and Rhonda enjoyed working in the yard together, making kuchen and red-eye for Holidays and watching movies. Jesse enjoyed talking with many of his friends. Jesse also found joy and peace spending time with Bentley and Sadie, the family dogs. He made a huge impact on many lives with his soothing presence, patience, and kindness. This was apparent when you were lucky enough to get a hug from Jesse; it was truly an extension of himself.

Jesse is survived by his wife Rhonda of 31 years; daughter, Tiara of Flagstaff, AZ; son, Ryan of Fargo, ND; and daughter, Autumn of Brookings, SD; mother, Arlene Kramer of Strasburg, ND; Joan Kramer of Prince George, VA; Dorothy Likness of Brooklyn Park, MN; Neil & Laurie Kramer of Jamestown, ND and Calvin Kramer of Centennial, CO and many nieces & nephews.

Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Ray; sister, Patricia; father-in-law, Leo and brother-in-law, Cory.
