Shane’s service will be livestreamed below at 10 am Saturday, December 10, 2022
With a broken heart the family of Shane Brekke announces Shane’s passing on Monday December 5, 2022, after a long battle with diabetes.
Shane was born on May 1st, 1965, he grew up in Fargo attending Fargo public school graduated from Fargo North High in 1983 and Moorhead State Community and Technical college, in 1995 and 2015. Shane worked at many different jobs in the Fargo, Moorhead area. He was on the lookout for that prefect job that would fit his outgoing personality. Besides his family and friends Shane’s biggest loves were, the Tasmanian Devil (Taz) cartoon character, he had a collection of Taz memorability and even a Taz tattoo. He loved going to Lake Lizzie to his parent’s lake cabin and cruising the lake on the pontoon. He was a huge NDSU football fan and enjoyed tailgating at the Dome. He loved going to concerts, with a wide range of favorite artists from Garth Brooks to Gene Simons and KISS. His biggest love was his motorcycle. Even after he became disable, he refused to sell his custom painted motorcycle. He used to say the joy he got from riding it was unmatched by anything else and one day I am going to ride it again. We hope Shane you are riding like the wind right now.
Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents Lloyd and Gladys Brekke, Clifford and Dorothy O’Marro and his uncle Harold Brekke.
He will be missed dearly by his parents John and Jean Brekke; sisters Kimberly Paulson, Burbank CA; Tracy, (Rich) Folden, Fargo, ND; brothers Erick (Stacy) and Scott (Aimee) of Fargo. Many nieces and nephews and all the rest of his extended family and his many friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday December 10 at 10:00 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center with a visitation one hour prior.
In lieu of gifts we ask that you consider making a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
Feel free to wear your NDSU attire, your concert shirts or motorcycle attire we know Shane would approve.
