Scott James Baumler, age 51, of Enderlin, ND, passed away at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND, on January 21, 2023.
Scott was born on June 17, 1971, to Raymond and Sandra Baumler of Wheatland, ND. He graduated from The Chaffee mustangs high school in 1990. He went on to attend college at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND in the diesel mechanics program.
On April 27, 1991, he married his high school sweetheart, Lori Flikka. Together they had three sons Travis, Trevor, and Trenten Baumler. They eventually made their home in Sheldon, ND.
On March 29, 2012, Scott joined Penny Wright in marriage. They made their home in Fargo, ND and later in Enderlin, ND.
Scott worked as a millwright, mechanic, and welder for various companies over the years.
Scott enjoyed camping, backyard bonfires, and had a great love for fishing. He had a passion for riding motorcycles that started as a child. He was very proud when his boys were old enough and got their own motorcycles so they could all ride together. Even a couple rides with the original family five. And some summer days you could find Scott at the local golf course enjoying a round of golf with friends. He was a life long fan of the Denver Broncos always cheering them on on game day. His biggest pride and joy was his three sons Travis Trevor and Trent and his seven grandchildren. He was very excited when he recently learned he was going to be a grandpa with the eighth grandchild. He always played with his grandkids like he was a kid and always hugged and kissed his boys and grandkids goodbye and told them that he loved them. If you ever came to visit him you were sure to get a bowl of homemade bowl chili. He had a great love for all animals. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Penny Baumler, of Fargo ND; his three sons – Travis (Tessa) Baumler of Enderlin, ND; Trevor Baumler of Enderlin, ND; Trenten Baumler (Stacy Enerhard) of Enderlin, ND; his Ex wife and special friend, Lori Flikka of Enderlin, ND; and seven grandchildren – Talia Baumler, Eden Baumler, Anthony Baumler, Talon Baumler, Bradley Baumler, Vaeda Eberhard, and Jude Eberhard all of Enderlin, ND. Also surviving are his siblings – Angie (Steve) Rausch of Burnsville, MN; Tom (Shannon) Baumler of Ramsey, MN; his half siblings – Bobbie (Terrell) Slaughter of Fargo, ND; Jamie Smith of Miami, FL; Jessica Smith of Grand Junction, CO; Matt Smith of St. Joseph, MN; Josh Smith of St. Cloud, MN; and several other half siblings. A special nephew, Brandon Baumler of Payette, ID; a special cousin, Ralph Janitell of Cententia, CO; step children – Mason Wright of Fargo, ND; Krystal Wright of Fargo, ND; and Noah Parisian of Fargo; and several nieces and nephews, also survive.
He was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Sandra Baumler; and brother, Anthony(Tony and Michelle) Baumler, and his grandparents.

I’m going to miss you very much buddy until we meet again.
My sympathy to the Baumler family and extended family. I was Scott’s coach for basketball and baseball. He was a very intense player and always gave it his all. He was a very good defensive player in basketball.
his family (5)- and certainly the huge extended one.
