Sympathy to the Saunter family.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
A beloved priest and friend✝️🙏
May God comfort you during this difficult time. I came to know Father Scott through my daughter, Tonya. Spending time with him was always a pleasure with his knowledge and quick wit. I was able to enjoy his cooking and was able to lend a bed to him as he pasted through town. He is with the heavenly choir singing praises. You will be missed dear friend.
Heaven has gained another angel. Father Scott Saunter was a very kind and talented man. He will be surely missed. Sympathy to his family!🙏🙏
Sending our thoughts and prayers.
I was blessed to have taken several classes from Father Saunter during permanent diaconate formation. Specifically remember one afternoon at Old Testament class when he asked a question which I immediately answered. He immediately walked over to the white board and pounded his head on it. His humor was so awesome. I was always so excited when I found out he would be our instructor no matter what subject it was. A real warrior for Christ!

Fr. Scott was a special, gifted, and talented priest who grew up in Harvey, North Dakota and attended our church St. Cecilia Parish He attended mass with his family faithfully. He was one of 5 priest that was ordained from Harvey , St. Cecilia’s .Than when we go visit our daughter and son-in-law in Lisbon we could attend his services at. St. Aloisius in Lisbon we often visted with him. All our granddaughters had pleasure of being altar server’s for him .And my daughter often attended Bible study after she taught CCD and son-in-law was on church council and he was Fr. Scott’s go to guy! May he rest in the peace of the lord and may the choir of angels sing joyous in his memory he surely will be missed.Blessing to his family!

I have known Father Scott all of his life . Our families were very good friends and we have remained that way through the years !
I have seen Father Scott at Teals market in Lisbon several times in the past few years and we always enjoyed a great visit and I was always able to sell him some bakery and deli items !
We , my husband Pete and I were lucky enough to have dinner with Scott and his sister Dianne and brother in law Rick only 3 short weeks ago ! I am SO thankful for the wonderful time that we had and the memories that we shared and the laughs that we had !

🙏🙏🙏
Fr. Scott has always been a favorite of mine. I learned so much from him during his time here in Jamestown. He and my husband Ken loved to do impromptu accapella Latin or Chant masses during the week day masses. He had such a great sense of humor and truly loved cooking but his love of God showed in all he did. May we all know he is watching over us all.
Our sincere sympathy to Father Sautner’s family, to his parish family, and to all who called him friend. Be assured of our prayers. We will have a Mass offered for Father Sautner, to be said by our son, Father Brady Keller. Eternal rest grant unto Father Sautner, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace. Amen.
We will miss you and forever remember you Fr. Scott Sautner. You were truly a gift and a blessing to us.
Job well done good and faithful servant.
Rest In Peace.
Love, Kris and Chuck Long
I have known Fr Scott since his childhood growing up in Harvey. I always knew he was going to do something amazing with his life because of all his talents and knowledge. He was blessed with the greatest responsibility to share God’s word and grow the Kingdom through his words and deeds. Well done Fr Scott, I’m proud to have known you and your family. Rest in peace with your Heavenly Father.
My Deepest Sympathy to the Sautner family. I am going to miss Fr. Sautner so very much. He played the piano beautifully.

Father Sautner was a fantastic priest and friend. I’d always listen up during his homilies, waiting for the quick joke he’d throw in to make sure everyone was still listening. He taught my CCD class in high-school, and made the pre-marital classes for my husband and I so enjoyable, as well as helped my husband convert to the Catholic faith. He meant a great deal to our family, always listening when we needed to talk, and offering a joke when we needed a laugh. In fact just a couple weeks ago he had texted my husband out of the blue, and he told me that night that Father made his whole day in that one text. Our whole family will miss him and we cherish the friendship he offered us! Prayers to all those that knew and loved Father Scott!
I will always remember Father Scott. Because of the shock of our loss, I am sad; but because of my faith and belief that what happens next is better than what we have now, I am grateful that Father Scott is now completely in God’s presence. Peace be with Father Scott’s brother Doug and the entire family.
WE ENJOYED hAVING FATHER SCOTT SERVE OUR PARISH IN FAIRMOUNT HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL THE LIVES HE TOUCHED mANY PRAYERS AND SYMPATHIES TO HIS FAMILY. HE WILL BE MISSED.
Fr Sautner was our priest at St Philipsfor 12 years
He had a love for music
I shall remember his singing
Playing piano in church when no one was around
A very talented man
He also loved decorating our seasons at church
He was gifted in this way also
The most important was the counseling he gave me that took me thru some difficult times. Never met a priest like him that could be so easy to talk too and at times I may not have liked what he said but it was always spot on.
Yes, I will hold him in memory and my prayers.
He also taught me how my deceased parents were closer to me now in their dealth. No one ever explained it to me like that. Words of comfort! And so now we must believe that he too is closer to us. Peace be upon him and with you
Requiescas in pace aeterna cum semper amante Patre nostro, mi disicpule carissime.
Atque in perpetuum, pater care, ave atque vale.
