Myrna Marie (Running) Dihle, age 81, of Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Bismarck and Center, ND passed away at Eventide Nursing Home in Fargo on Nov
21, 2023.

Myrna was born on October 26, 1942 in Powers Lake, ND to Arnold and Lois Running of Columbus, ND. She attended elementary school in Larson, ND and Columbus, ND. She was a graduate of Columbus High School in 1960. Myrna was married to Douglas Ruppert of Crosby, ND and to that union three children were born, Fane, Lisa, and Lance. In 1976, Myrna and Duane Dihle were married and they resided in Crosby until moving to Center ND where Duane was employed with Baukol Noonan Mining Company. Myrna remained in Center after Duane’s death in 2010, until moving to Bismarck in 2015. In July of 2019 she moved to Fargo to be closer to her family.

Myrna grew up in a family that loved camping and she carried that through to her adulthood. There were many, many trips in a small trailer and later in a motorhome which made for many wonderful memories. A summer place at Parshall Bay was the favorite destination for her and Duane where they spent many hours fishing and visiting with friends. Myrna was also an avid reader, and her quick wit and curiosity will be missed by all. While living in Crosby, Myrna was employed by Kocher Accounting and made many life-long friends at that job.

Myrna was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Center, ND.

Myrna is survived by her three children, Fane (Gwen) Ruppert, Lisa Ruppert, and Lance (Vickie) Ruppert; 11 grandchildren, Cathleen (Juan) Ramirez, Blaine Gatz, Brandt Ruppert, Christina (Brandon) Johnson, Shayla Hoffart, Mitchell Schweitzer, Zachary (Amanda) Ruppert, Mason (Chloe) Ruppert, Victoria (Nicholas) White, Zachary (Kelly) Kolka, Alex (Jessica) Kolka; 15 great grandchildren, Castiel Ramirez, Celena Ramirez, Elvis Ramirez, Caitlyn Johnson, Ava Hoffart, Logan Hoffart, Easton Hoffart, Nala Hoffart, Silas Hoffart, Callie Ferrario, Brooklynn Ruppert, Ruby Ruppert, Ellie Ruppert, Joanna White, Makenna Kolka; two great-great grandchildren, Lorenzo Johnson and Aaron Schweitzer; sister, Alcene Dalebout; nieces, Laurie Schafer and Jolene Muscha; and nephew Jeremy Dalebout.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; brother-in-law, Larry Dalebout; and her niece, Suzi Kay Lee.

A memorial service will be held at the Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo at 10am on Saturday, Dec 2, 2023. A graveside ceremony will be held at the cemetery that is one mile north of Center on Sunday, Dec 3, 2023 at 1:00pm.
