Donald Stransky, 72, passed away in Lisbon, North Dakota, due to complications of Dementia on May 13th, 2024. He was born in Fargo, North Dakota, on February 7th, 1952, to Laudie and Barbara Stransky. He had a career in welding at Branick Industries and retired in 2002. He married his former wife, Lyn Rae Sell on June 30th, 1979. They had two daughters, Kylie Greshik and Jamie Stransky.

He loved to play pool and was in a league. He was a member of the Teamsters. He loved classic cars, from the roadster he built that his friends would pool money for gas to go cruising in as a young man to the 1953 Bel-air hard top he worked on with his grandson and son-in-law. He moved to Wimbledon, N.D., in 2003. He often spoke about how he loved living in the small town and made many friends on his walks and bike rides. He loved knowledge and got his G.E.D. later in life. He loved watching Discovery Channel back when you could learn from it, but his favorite show was Jeopardy. He never missed it.

Donald was kind and always ready to lend a hand, whether changing the oil on family members’ cars, helping paint their houses, or helping them move. He was always there for his daughters and grandchildren. He loved children, and his greatest joys were his grandchildren. He spent all the time he could with them. He enjoyed tubing down Ottertail river with his favorite niece, Terri, and going to Downer Lake with her and his sister, Jolene.
