Linda Jean Seter, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at Beehive Homes in Moorhead, MN, at the age of 78. She was surrounded by love in her final moments and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda was born on March 29, 1946, to Otto and Gina (Muhle) Sunde in Avril, MN. She graduated from Glyndon High School before attending Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. On January 27, 1967, she married her high school sweetheart, John Seter, at Glyndon Lutheran Church. Together, they raised three children. Linda worked hard alongside John, driving truck for the farm and later driving school bus. She had a passion for ceramics, often attending classes with her good friend, Linda Rosenfeldt.

In 1977, Linda and John moved to Lake Park, where they farmed for eight years. During this time, Linda embraced her role as a mother and homemaker, preparing meals for those working on the farm and spending many weekends at horse shows with her children and close friends.

In 1985, they moved to Pelican Rapids, where John started CMI in Rothsay. Linda supported him by managing the secretarial duties, and together they overcame the devastation of a fire that destroyed their home shortly after their move. With the help of family, they rebuilt and continued to create a warm and loving home. In 2006, they built their dream home on Ranum Lake, in rural Barnesville.

Linda’s love for her family, animals, (especially horses and dogs) flowers, and crafts were evident in every part of her life. She found joy in simple moments, whether it was spending time with her beloved dog Twiggy, watching her grandchildren in their activities, or entertaining family and friends. A woman of great strength and grace, Linda never complained and always put the needs of others first. She is remembered for her kindness, hard work, and unwavering love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Seter; her parents, Otto and Gina Sunde; her sister and brother-in-law, Paul and Janice Gorder; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Seter and Larry Brandt; sister-in-law Sharilyn Seter and nephew Ace Brandt.

Linda is survived by her children, Teresa (David) Braaten of Kindred, ND, Troy (Charla) Seter of Pelican Rapids MN, Tara (Eric) Bechtold of Huntley, MT; grandchildren, Riley Braaten of West Fargo, ND, Alec Braaten of Kindred, ND, Victoria Braaten of Bozeman, MT, Gunnar Braaten of Minneapolis, MN, Olivia Bechtold of Bozeman, MT, Cole Bechtold of Huntley, MT, Emma Seter of Sammamish, WA, and Brody Seter of Pelican Rapids, MN; sister Sharon

(Steve) Walters; brothers Steve (Vicky) Sunde, Kevin (Lori) Sunde, Warren (Sharon) Sunde; sister-in-law Karen (Ron) Offutt; brother-in-law Terry Seter; sister-in-law Jeanene Seter; and many nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to the staff at Beehive Homes for their exceptional care and love. We are forever grateful to them for making her feel like family and bringing a smile to her face every day.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on June 14, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Glyndon Community Center, with a burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Glyndon, MN.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that Linda is now free from pain and reunited with those who have gone before her. We will forever cherish the memories, love, and the impact she had on all of us.
