My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Sending hugs and prayers. I have a lot of great memories of cousin Alan❣️
Al was a fraternity brother of mine at Phi Chapter of Theta Chi, and a wonderful guy. I remember Dave Drew pinning the nickname of Noodles on him, and he had that embroidered on his fraternity jacket. Once Al asked me to feed his fish when he was gone, which was a huge mistake as I overfed them. He laughed it off and teased me about it. Another time we were at a fraternity gathering in the Twin Cities, and the sleeping quarters were cramped. I fell”asleep” early on a sleeping pad and woke up cradling Al’s feet in my arm, as he had crashed on the same sleeping pad, his feet to my head. I last saw Al in 2017, and I swore he hadn’t changed a bit. Everyone loved Al. He was a wonderful human being.
Theresa Streifel
Al was a kind, caring man. Our conversations were always meaningful and I always took away some sort of something I didn’t have before we visited.
I was fortunate to have known him.
Theresa and family, so sorry to hear about Al.
He was a sweet man. He was great to work with . He will be greatly missed.
My heart breaks for you and your family.
Thoughts and prayers to you and your family

I am so sorry to hear that Alan passed. We had many laughs in high school and at our reunions. Prayers to all of his family
Our sincere sympathies to the Striefel family. sending hugs and prayers. Alan grew up in our neighborhood, he came from a wonderful family.
My condolences to you Theresa, and your entire family. I have not seen Alan for many years, however I fondly remember ‘Noodles’ from my days at Theta Chi Fraternity. Alan was a couple years ahead of me – he was such a great guy – always friendly to all with the most ‘chill’ attitude of anyone I can remember. Our world lost a great guy way too soon.
Theresa, so sorry to hear of your loss. Al will be truely missed. He was a great example of a wonderful christian man. If we all would be more like him our world would be a beautiful place. Our prayers will be ŵith you thru this dificult time. Love you, James & Carol

For Alan – A Life Well Lived
by Randy Smith
In the hush of dawn, when the robins sing,
A quiet echo rides on morning’s wing.
A name we whisper soft and true—
Alan, the soul we dearly knew.
He walked this world with gentle pride,
With love as his compass, family as guide.
For thirty-eight years, side by side,
His heart beat with hers—his cherished bride.
Three children rise with his strength in their veins,
Their lives a tribute, through joy and pain.
In laughter and tears, in stories retold,
His spirit lives on, brave and bold.
A master of tales, he’d draw you near,
With twinkling eyes and a voice sincere.
From garden rows to woodland trails,
In every season, he left warm tales.
The still of water, the thrill of the chase,
The sizzling fire in his sacred place—
The grill, where magic met his hand,
Feeding both belly and soul of man.
To call him friend was a gift, a light,
In darkest days or warmest night.
Just a good human, through and through,
The kind this world sees far too few.
Though cancer came with silent tread,
It never stole the life he led.
He left this earth with peace and grace,
Love surrounding, a warm embrace.
So plant the seed, cast the line,
Look to the stars when they align.
For Alan’s voice rides wind and flame,
In every echo, we speak his name.
Rest easy, friend, your race is run—
Your love lives on in everyone.
I’m so sorry about Al, he was a wonderful person. Sending love from out west.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
I only knew Al through work at Lunde. He was great to talk to and work with. My condolences to his family
