Dawn Wegner

Dawn Lynelle Wegner, loving mother, cherished family member, and loved friend, passed away May 2, 2025.

Dawn was born in Alfred, ND, to parents Roland and DeVaris Wegner on August 18, 1960. She attended school in Gackle, ND.

She was a long time resident of Jamestown, ND, where she had her son Johnny with Randy Gilbertson. She moved to Great Falls, MT, but returned to North Dakota in 2006 where she lived in Fargo. She was very outgoing and was lifetime friends with many people, her cat Mr. Jiggs, and of course, her son Johnny Joe. She had a good sense of humor – most of the time! She was beautiful and loved.

Dawn is survived by her son, Johnny Gilbertson; mother, DeVaris; sisters, Kathleen, Jodean, Lelonie, Diana; and her brother, Matthew.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roland; and brother, Shannon.
