Jacob Lawrence Peterson, 46, of Fargo, ND, passed away May 13, 2025, at his home. Jacob was born in Bristol, CT on October 29, 1978, to Cecile (Roberts) and Joseph Peterson. He attended Bristol Central High School and St. Paul’s Catholic High School. He later earned his GED.

Jacob worked at Cricket Hill Farm in Thomaston, CT. He created landscapes and was especially proud of the rare and unusual peonies he grew there. He had a natural green thumb. Jacob also had a love for music. From playing drums, attending music festivals, and following the Grateful Dead on tour, music has always been a big part of his life.

Jacob lived in Oregon and Connecticut before settling in North Dakota. He enjoyed working for Innovative Basement Authority until an injury forced him to step away. Jacob was a true “people person” and quickly made friends, including his girlfriend, Amy. Together they enjoyed collecting rocks, Rosemead, and firearms. They attended many auctions, estate sales, and casinos.
Jacob was a true one percenter. He had lots of energy and lived life to the fullest in high gear. May the four winds blow him safely home.

Other than his mother, Jacob is survived by his girlfriend, Amy Tarno of Fargo; sister, Alicia Peterson or Torrington, CT; nieces and nephews, Zachary Overton, Kaylee Stevens, Alexis Chamberlain, and Russell Chamberlain, all of CT.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Martha Chamberlain; and grandparents.
