Carol M. Lahren, 91, of West Fargo, ND, formally of Davenport, ND, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Carol’s funeral service will be held Monday, July 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Fredrickson’s Funeral Chapel in Kindred, ND. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Kindred Cemetery following the service.

Carol was born May 2, 1934, in rural Hope, ND, to Gunder and Zelia (DeMaine) Olson. Carol married Allen (Bud) Lahren on November 6, 1953. They made their home and farmed in rural Davenport, ND. They celebrated 63 1/2 years of marriage.

Carol was active with the Davenport Fire Auxiliary. She enjoyed coin collecting, word search puzzles, video solitaire and Yahtzee. When the family gathered, there was usually a spirited game of pinochle. While on the farm, Carol was an active gardener, both veggie and flowers. Carol and Bud were known for their well kept yard.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Peggy Lahren, West Fargo, ND, and Sue Lahren Mairs (Dale Brandvold), Edinburg, ND; grandchildren Amanda (Tom) Tang, Amie Lahren (Bob Meyer), Avery Lahren, Aricka Lahren, Steven (Madi) Mairs, and step-grandson Garett (Jennifer)Mairs. Carol has 8 great-grandchildren, and she learned that would grow by one in December. Survivors also include her sister-in-law Fern Olsen and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband Allen “Bud” Lahren (2017), her son Randy Lahren (2001), great granddaughter, Paityn (2018), son-in-law Loren Mairs (2018), her parents and all of her siblings – four brothers and four sisters.
