Leonard L Iten 82, of Fargo, ND, passed away on September 11, 2025. Leonard was born April 12, 1943 to Clarence and Pearl (Diamond) Iten and was raised in Humboldt, MN. Leonard married Judy Winter on November 5, 1966. They moved to Northern Idaho where they began their family and had three children Leen, Sue and Keith. Leonard worked for Bunker Hill Mines as a forklift operator until 1982 when the mines were shut down. Leonard worked a variety of jobs and even went to Alaska to work until they moved back to Fargo, ND in 1986 where he worked as mechanic in the warehouse for Judy’s brother Glen Winter until he retired.
After retirement Leonard spent part of his summers going back to Northern MN, where he helped with the farming and beet hauling, which kept him in contact with his hometown and long time friends.
Leonard enjoyed the outdoors and always had a motorcycle, snow mobile and boat to enjoy the outdoors. He shared this passion with his family and they spent a lot of time camping and fishing or hunting as well as riding the sport vehicles. He loved spending time with his family and was very much a family man. Once his family left home he found a special group of friends in Fargo that he spent a lot of time fishing and hanging out with.
Leonard loved the grandchildren and great grandchildren and was home and able to really enjoy them as they each spent time with him. They all held a special place in his heart. Leonard loved to watch the grandson’s race and was always sharing their passion for the sport.
Leonard is survived by his wife Judy, Fargo, ND, son Leen (Jodi) Iten Gardner, ND, daughter Sue (Kory) Goulet, Fargo, ND and grandchildren Devin Goulet (Kara Skavlem), Jacob Iten, Taylor Iten, Hunter Goulet, Zachery Iten, Hannah Goulet, and Paige Iten, all Fargo, ND. Keesha Goulet, Lisbon, ND and Jeffery Goulet (Liberty), Craig, CO. His great grandchildren Ethan, Kase, Sage, Leonard (Leo) and Kylah. Also, many nephews and nieces.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Pearl, his son Keith Iten, his sister Gloria Maier, and 4 brother in laws and 2 sisters in laws

Judy, out deepest sympathy to you and your family. We will always have the best memories of Lenny, our younger years were we made the best ones. We will never forget him. Hugs to you all.
Send my condolence’s to you and family. Len and I had lots for fun together on the farm and at their place in Humboldt. We got into a lot of trouble lot and had loads for fun.
