Rose Etta Booke

October 13, 1939 ~ October 23, 2025

Born in: Fairmount, North Dakota
Resided in: Fargo, North Dakota

Rose Etta Booke, a beloved mother, grandmother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, MN, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, warmth, and connection that will be remembered by all who knew her.

Born on October 13, 1939, in Fairmount, ND, Rose was the daughter of Glen and Evelyn (Albright) Taylor. Growing up in Fairmount, she attended local schools and graduated from Fairmount High School. Following her graduation, Rose made her way to Wahpeton, ND, where her journey into caring for others began at a nursing home, where she soon after met her future husband, Duane.

On September 17, 1960, Rose and Duane exchanged vows at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fairmount, embarking on a life filled with love and family in Fargo, ND. As a devoted mother, she embraced her role fully, serving as a Blue Bird Leader and actively participating in church groups. Rose enjoyed sewing and card clubs, weaving a tapestry of community and friendship that enriched her life and those around her.

An entertainer at heart, Rose was the life of the party. Her door was always open, whether she was welcoming friends into her home in Fargo, entertaining in Yuma, AZ during winter, or enjoying summers at the leaf lake. Rose thrived on an activities calendar that kept her engaged in the things she loved, from bingo and crafting to solving puzzles and the occasional trip to the casino. Most recently, she found joy and companionship at the Linden at Eventide, where she continued to be the vibrant spirit she was known to be.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Booke of Moorhead, MN; her beloved grandchildren, Tasha and Taylor Booke; her nephew, Leo (Daphne) Taylor; her niece, Amanda Taylor; and her great nephew, Emmerson Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Evelyn, her two brothers, her husband Duane, her dear daughter, Dianna, who passed in 2014, and her cherished great grand dog, Shadow.

In celebration of Rose’s life, a gathering will take place from 5:30 to 7 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, in the Celebration of Life Center. Family and friends are invited to come together to share food and memories and honor the remarkable woman that Rose was. A prayer service will follow at 7 PM in the Chapel at Boulger Funeral Home. The prayer service will also be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo. Rose Etta Booke leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warm memories that will forever inspire those she touched.
