Sara L. Ryan-Walcker

Sara Lynn Ryan-Walcker left this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 1, 2025, after a brave eight-year battle with cancer. She was born on August 8, 1989, in Fosston, Minnesota, to Steven and LeAnn (Kezar) Ryan.

Sara was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Poplar Lake Lutheran Church in Fosston, where her lifelong commitment to faith began. She was a current member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, where she found community and solace in her beliefs. A proud graduate of Fosston High School, class of 2007, Sara pursued her passion for architecture by attending MN State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN, studying architectural drafting and design. In her professional life, Sara dedicated herself to her work with EAPC Architects and Engineers, contributing her talents in their Grand Forks and Fargo offices.

On October 22, 2016, Sara married the love of her life, Austin Walcker. Together, they created a compassionate and loving partnership that was a testament to their devotion and support for one another.

Sara will be remembered for her infectious laughter, unwavering spirit, and the love she shared with family and friends.

Sara is survived by her husband, Austin; mother, LeAnn; sister, Christi (Aaron) Zimmerman; sister-in-law, Joni Ryan; father- and mother-in-law Rod and Cindy Walcker; nephew, Steven Zimmerman; nieces, Jasmine and Melanie Zimmerman; Bethany Helmeke (Cameron Verner), Kaitlyn Helmeke, Aubrey and MiKayla Swanson; great-niece, Jaclynn Vernes; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Ryan; brother, Andrew Ryan; grandparents, Norris and Faye Ryan and Clarence and Inga Kezar.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour prior.
