Cynthia Susan Klemetson died Sunday, January 18, 2026, peacefully at Hillsboro Sanford Hospital in Hillsboro, ND, with family present.

She was born September 7, 1971 in Grand Forks, ND. Though she was not born to these parents who would come to raise her, she became a cherished foster child on December 17, 1971, and later adopted by Junior and Marilyn Klemetson.

She was known for her big heart. She touched so many lives with her smile and genuine friendship. Growing up, she spent a lot of time at the lakes.

Around 2010 Cindy moved into town and lived with her sister Nettie.

She is preceded in death by her mother Marilyn, father Junior, and brother Jim Briss.

She is survived by her sisters Nettie Flieth, Vickie Klemetson (Peter Williams), and Veronica (Tim) Nundahl; brothers Terry (Roxie) Klemetson, Tom (Ann) Klemetson, and Tony (Peg) Klemetson; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. January 31, 2026, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, ND, with visitation one hour prior. Arrangements are entrusted into the care of Wildeman-Boulger Funeral Home in Hillsboro, ND.
