Annette N. Tronson, age 84, of Buxton, ND, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Hillsboro Medical Center Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Annette Norma Dronen was born on November 7, 1941, the daughter of Arthur and Norma (Fuglem) Dronen in Sharon, ND. She grew up in Sharon and graduated from Sharon High School. After her schooling, Annette worked at the Union Hospital in Mayville, ND.

Annette was united in marriage to Dean Tronson on August 31, 1963, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sharon, ND. Following their marriage, they made their home in Mayville, before moving to the Tronson family farm near Buxton, ND, where they farmed for several years. Annette was a longtime active member at Highland Lutheran Church, taking part in the Ladies Aid and Birthday Club, until the churches closing. She had most recently made her home in Hillsboro.

Annette is survived by her son, Darren (Lisa) Tronson of Buxton, ND; her grandchildren – Bethany (Jerome) Rarick of Climax, MN; Tiffany (Robert) Samuelson of Crookston, MN; Megan Gerstenberg of Hatton, ND; Shana Tronson of Grand Forks, ND; and Gunner Tronson of Buxton; her nine great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter, Harper. Also surviving are her sister, Narleen (Bill) Engel of Sheridan, WY; her brother-in-law, Jerry Skalicky; and several nieces and nephews.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean; her grandson-in-law, Tom Gerstenberg; and her siblings – Norman Dronen, Gene Dronen, Sherman Dronen, and Dorothy Skalicky.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 AM Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, ND – with a visitation one hour prior

BURIAL: Highland Lutheran Church Cemetery near Cummings, ND – at a later date
