Carol Jean (Sorbel) Nesemeier, 84, Fargo passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Carol was born on September 18, 1941 to Alvin and Mabel (Engen) Sorbel. Carol was raised in Kindred, North Dakota. She attended and graduated from Kindred High School.

Carol was married to Gary Nesemeier on June 5, 1959. They made their home and raised three children in Leonard, North Dakota.

Throughout her life, Carol worked at DeLendrecies, owned and operated the Leonard Café & Grocery Store in Leonard, North Dakota and in her later years she worked for North Dakota gaming.

Carol loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a big Minnesota Twins fan and never missed watching a game.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Mabel, husband Gary, daughter Deb Roswick and brother, Duane Sorbel.

Carol is survived by her two boys, Randy, Fargo, and Darin (Jodi), Kindred, 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, sister, Diane (Larry) Dahlen, brother-in-law, Dean (Joan) Nesemeier and sister-in-law, JoAnne Sorbel.

Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Fredrikson-Boulger Funeral Chapel, Kindred with visitation starting at 9:00 A.M.
