Thomas John Domack, age 82, passed away on May 19th, 2026. He and his wife, Sue, have lived together in Fargo, ND for the last 50 years, most recently at Bethany Retirement Living. He passed holding hands with Sue and spent his last days with the assistance of Hospice and his family.
Tom was born on May 2, 1945 in Duluth, MN. Much of his childhood and young adulthood was spent in Mankato, MN where he graduated high school and went on to seminary in La Crosse, WI. In 1967, Tom left the seminary and joined the United States Air Force where he served his country proudly in Vietnam. In 1969, he moved to East Grand Forks where he asked a pretty lady to dance one night. That pretty lady would become his wife two years later. Tom and Sue were married on July 10th, 1971 in Bloomington, MN. They traveled in the younger part of their marriage, and settled in Fargo, ND where they raised two children. Besides working on projects around the family home, building things, working on cars, playing golf and traveling, Tom maintained a private pilot’s license for many years. Between “touch and goes”, stalls, or whatever technique he was practicing, Tom loved being in the cockpit up in the air with his family and friends.
Early on in Fargo, Tom worked for Heimann Freightways as a Loading Manager, followed by a career as a Salesman with Pitney Bowes where he was recognized several years of his career, winning the top spot at the National Sales Award meeting. Tom was a natural salesman who loved to travel, and retired from his career at Pitney Bowes at the age of 65.
Tom and Sue belonged to Faith United Methodist Church in North Fargo for many years, and raised a loving family that is strong in their faith.
Tom’s parents, Francis and Julian Domack, precede him in death as well as two brothers, Kenn and Dennis and one brother-in-law, Lee Bauman.
He is survived by his wife Sue in Fargo, ND; his children Kelly (Terry) Leeper of Moorhead, MN and Ryan (Crystal) Domack of Hampstead, NC, and grandchildren Glen, Garrett, Lucas, Jacob, Emma and Isaac. Tom’s surviving brothers and sisters are John (Vicky) Domack, Kevin (Mary) Domack, Kathy Bauman, Marilyn (Perry) Tormey, along with many nieces and nephews.
Tom will be buried at the Fargo National Veterans Cemetary. A memorial service will be held the first weekend in August.
In lieu of flowers, remember Tom and family in your prayers, and celebrate his life.
