William John Drussell, age 80, of Moorhead, died peacefully at home Saturday May 30th surrounded by family.

Bill was born September 21, 1945 in Moorhead, MN to Frank and Helen Drussell. He had just a short time with his father who died when he was 7, but would speak well of and share memories of him the rest of his life.

Out and about with his friends at age 14, Bill saw the love of his life, Becky Laugeness and that was all it took… they were married two years later.

Bill was a hard working man who spent most of his life doing auto body work, ending his career being self employed at his home in rural Sabin, MN. He never really understood the quality of his work and how he could transform a vehicle.

Bill and Becky made a beautiful home and life along Stony Creek where they lived until 2026. Most of the holidays, birthdays and other family events were held here. They celebrated 63 years of marriage in 2025.

Bill’s love, concern and care for family was unending.

Bill loved all things outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting and watching the weather. He was an outstanding archer who was a 2 time ND State Champion with a recurve bow. He was amazing to watch. Bill and his friends made many trips to their friend Auggie’s ranch in Glendive, Montana to hunt in the fall.

In later years, Bill laid down his bow and preferred to watch the deer, other animals and an amazing amount of different birds they would feed and enjoy.

Bill is survived by his wife, Becky, son Todd (Sharri) Drussell, Kari (Larry) Tester & Kristy Drussell. His sister Joan Hardie.

As well as many nieces, nephews and close relatives.

6 grandchildren, Sarah (Tyler) Behrens, Ben (Thao) Drussell, Travis (Kaisa) Gardner, Katie (Jordan ) Grier & Emily Grier.

As well as many nieces, nephews and other important relatives.
