Marian Joyce LeBlanc passed away at Sanford’s Hospice House on June 18th, at the age of 94. Joyce was born on March 24, 1932, in Fargo, where she grew up and attended school. She married Robert Leo LeBlanc on August 22, 1961, in Fargo. They were married 28 years and raised 3 children together in their south Fargo home, before Robert’s passing in 1989.

Joyce graduated from Fargo Central High School and studied music at Concordia College in Moorhead, before becoming a music teacher at St. Frances de Sales school in Moorhead. She gave up her formal teaching career to focus on raising a family. However, she resumed teaching in the 1980s, by giving piano lessons out of her home.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Ann Larsen, her husband, Robert, and oldest son, Jacques. She is survived by two sons, Andre and Damien, both of Fargo, as well as her brother Wallace Larsen, Minneapolis.

As you both know I was your parents UPS Driver for many years. Your mother was always so cheerful and excited to see me at the door and willing to accept packages for the neighbors.
