Daniel Dahlen

Daniel George Dahlen was born on July 20, 1963 to Glen and Corinne Dahlen. He grew up with his five sisters in Ashby, MN. Daniel graduated high school in 1981 and attended Alex Tech for a welding degree. Daniel had a successful career working for Xcel Energy in logistics. Daniel was also a realtor and earned a business degree.

Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to casinos, and especially traveling to warmer climates. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren for family get togethers and BBQs. Daniel will be remembered for his love for family, his wacky sense of humor, and his ability to tell a good story. He retired in 2021 from Xcel Energy and really enjoyed his last years spent with family and traveling. He went home to the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the age of 63.

Daniel is survived by his wife Karen; children Sheila (Mike) Dahlen, Michael (Rachel) Bueckers, Jeremy (Jenna) Dahlen, Brandon Bueckers, and Andrea (Luke) Volkmuth; many grandchildren; Preston (Cassie) Faber, Evalyn Dahlen, Noah and Lily Bueckers, Hazel and Weston Dahlen, and Josephine Volkmuth; along with 2 great grandchildren MaKenzie and Mason Faber. He is also survived by his mother Corinne Dahlen, sisters; Cheryl (Diedrich) Von Soosten, Lori (Jeff) Brede, Jana (Bill) Lachowitzer, and Julie Dahlen, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Daniel is preceeded in death by his father Glen, sister Donna, daughter Shanna, and nephew Jesse.
