Born in: Fergus Falls, Minnesota
Resided in: Moorhead, Minnesota

Dan Amundson, age 75, passed away on August 3, 2026 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, MN. He was born on June 15, 1951 to Reynold and Dolly Amundson.

Dan grew up in Pelican Rapids, MN. He played on the 1969 basketball team that beat Moorhead High School and he never let anyone forget that. His favorite cheer – Ala fomada uskadinga. coomata flinga I, hurrah hurrah, Pelican Rapids High!

Dan spent many years as a barber in the area until his diagnosis with M.S. left him unable to continue.

Dan had many passions such as hunting, dog training, skiing, fishing, or anything outdoors. He loved to tell jokes and always was quick with a great comeback that kept you on your toes.

Dan is survived by his lifelong partner, Deb Posch; brother, Tony (Sharon) Amundson; nieces Lauren and Sarah and their families; as well as Deb’s siblings and their families; and many cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Dan.

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.
